SJF Announces Community Partnership with Operation HOPE
COLUMBUS, Ohio, 14 July 2025 – SJF, a boutique investment management firm with a long-term, valuation-disciplined approach across multiple asset classes, today announced a community partnership with Operation HOPE, the leading national nonprofit and the nation’s largest network for financial literacy coaching. Through this partnership, SJF will support Operation HOPE’s mission to equip clients with the tools, education and resources necessary to improve their financial well-being and achieve long-term success.
Operation HOPE is the leading national nonprofit and the nation’s largest network for financial literacy coaching.
Operation HOPE’s community uplift model, HOPE Inside, has served more than four million individuals and directed more than $4.5 billion in economic activity into disenfranchised communities. This partnership builds directly on SJF’s charitable foundation by bringing financial education and coaching to individuals who have traditionally lacked access to these resources.
“One of SJF’s core charitable giving pillars is education and financial literacy, and Operation HOPE embodies these areas of focus,” said Emily Carter, CEO, SJF CEO. “HOPE Inside’s community-based model, which places financial coaches directly in trusted nonprofit and public spaces to build relationships and drive change, fully aligns with our commitment to making a meaningful difference through financial education and community impact.”
In addition to bringing the first HOPE Inside location to Columbus and supporting a full-time financial coach, SJF will help Operation HOPE expand access to its services by:
- Developing and distributing financial literacy materials
- Hosting workshops and community events
- Supporting technology to help measure impact
- Covering operational costs tied to outreach, community engagement and partnership development
“At Operation HOPE, we believe that financial literacy is the new civil rights issue of our time,” said John Hope Bryant, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Operation HOPE. “This partnership with SJF is not just about dollars and cents, but it’s about dignity. By embedding HOPE Inside in the heart of Columbus, we’re building a future where economic opportunity is accessible to all, no matter your zip code or your starting point.”
This partnership is part of SJF’s broader commitment to education and financial literacy by supporting Columbus and the surrounding areas, aligning with our purpose to make a lasting impact where we live and work.

Through its community uplift model, HOPE Inside, which received the 2016 Innovator of the Year recognition by American Banker magazine, Operation HOPE has served more than 4 million individuals and directed more than $4.5 billion in economic activity into disenfranchised communities — turning check-cashing customers into banking customers, renters into homeowners, small business dreamers into small business owners, minimum wage workers into living wage consumers and uncertain disaster victims into financially empowered disaster survivors.
