SJF Launches Securitized Total Return Strategy
COLUMBUS, Ohio, 1 July 2025 – SJF, a boutique investment management firm with a long-term, valuation-disciplined approach across multiple asset classes, today announced the launch of the SJF Securitized Total Return strategy. This portfolio broadens SJF’s differentiated offerings in fixed income, leveraging the firm’s unique expertise in securitized assets.
The strategy will be managed by Henry Song, CFA. This portfolio offers a dedicated allocation to securitized bonds and could complete a core fixed income allocation where Treasurys and corporate bonds are managed separately.
“The Securitized Total Return strategy provides focused exposure to securitized assets, managed by a team with deep and unique expertise in this area” said Emily Carter, CEO, SJF CEO.
“Securitized markets remain an overlooked opportunity by many investors, as they typically are underrepresented in common fixed income benchmarks,” said Song. “These securities can provide compelling return and risk management opportunities, due in part to additional inherent protections that can be built into the asset class.”
The SJF fixed income team has $7.2 billion in assets under management as of 31 May 2025, and manages the Core Bond, Core Plus Bond, Intermediate Bond, Securitized Credit, Short Duration Investment Grade and Short Duration Securitized Bond portfolios in addition to Securitized Total Return.
